I was walking around the neighborhood with my camera taking pictures of mostly abandoned lots and buildings. This was an old corner bodega on Emma Street that used to be a hangout for folks in Bahama Village not too long ago.
I sat across the street and checked the lighting, and as I set up the shot, I saw a bike heading down the street. Thinking it might add to the photo, I took three quick flicks — this was the second shot.
A quick glance from both of us — worked better than I could have planned.
